NASA's Perseverance rover spots unusual iron-nickel rock that could be a ‘visitor’ to Mars

NASA’s Perseverance rover has spotted a striking iron- and nickel-rich rock on Mars, named “Phippsaksla,” which may be a meteorite from elsewhere in the solar system. Using its SuperCam instrument, the rover confirmed the rock’s unusual composition, but further analysis is needed.
