Union Budget 2021: Sitharaman announces Rs. 35,000 cr for vaccines

On Monday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the union budget, her third one so far and the first one amid the coronavirus pandemic. In a major announcement, Sitharaman set aside Rs. 35,000 crore for vaccines in 2020-21. Just as she began speaking, several Opposition leaders shouted slogans, leading to bedlam in the Lok Sabha.
