Even though there was a decline of 4.4% in the total number of Indian students in the United States, their contribution to the economy of the powerful nation was nearly $7.6 billion, said a report titled Opens Doors 2020. For a fifth straight year, the US welcomed more than 1 million international students in one academic year, added the report.
